The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, who purchased Tesla in 2022 is facing growing criticism from X users and media companies for his alarming participation in spreading dangerous misinformation and misleading media about Islam. Since Musk officially acquired the social media giant back in 2022, many users have fled the website due to the uptick in hateful and dangerous content. Elon Musk initially claimed that he wished to spread positivity on his website, but now Musk himself is leading the charge in instigating hate towards Muslims. This comes on the back of European leaders including Emmanuel Macron, criticizing Musk for intervening in the democratic election process in multiple European countries including Norway, Germany and the UK. How far will Musk be allowed to go before innocent people are physically harmed by vigilantes who believe in his dangerous rhetoric?
